I had the pleasure of working with Chris as a postal employee at the Oklahoma City Plant and as a union officer for many years. Chris was the first Black president of the American Postal Workers Union, Oklahoma City Area Local # 86. Chris was also the editor of our Union newsletter during his three terms as local president. He was our current editor until his passing. I’m going to have to give him credit, he always said he was the smartest man that I knew. Even after he was no longer in office, he would always be willing to assist me whenever I would call, with his vast knowledge of the APWU Contract, Workers Compensation questions and continued computer problems. I will truly miss my good friend . My sincere condolences to the family.
